British actor Michael Enright , 51 years old, left for Syria to join the People's Protection Units , the Kurdish militias, to fight against the Islamic State.
After the 09/11 , Michael Enright wanted to enlist in the US army in order to leave for Afghanistan, but at the time , some friends managed to convince him to stay.
This time , the video revealed in January of this same year , which shows the sacrifice of the Jordanian pilot Muaz al Kasaesbeh was decisive and he decided to leave for good.
Enright has contacted a British soldier who was in Iraq , and which developed the contact between the actor and the Kurdish militia. Already in Syria, he received basic training of the People's Action Unit for two months and in addition to physical training , had to learn how to assemble and disassemble one Kalashnikov ( AK 47 ) blindfolded.
Michael Enright says he does not intend to return so quickly, and that he is very happy to be there, where he is fighting everyday for a good cause, and if he get caught in the line of duty , the actor mentioned that wishes to save at least one bullet to avoid being tortured.
