Natalie Portman will play the role of the former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy in a US film directed by Chilean Pablo Larrain that will take place four days following the assassination of her husband, the president John F. Kennedy.

"Jackie" (the film's title), begins when President John F. Kennedy is assassinated in Dallas in November 1963 and it will portray the days when Jackie Kennedy became an icon and at the same time lost everything.
The film is expected to come into production this same year , and like we said before it will be directed by the Chilean filmmaker Pablo Larrain , acclaimed for his previous film "No", that was about the last days of Augusto Pinochet's dictatorship, and will be produced by Darren Aronofsky , who has worked with Natalie Portman in "Black Swan" (2010).
