A Remake Of The Original Final Fantasy VII Has Been Announced

Final Fantasy it's one of the most well known RPG (Role Playing Game) series of all time released by the video game company Square Enix (named Square Soft before merging with Enix). I was introduced to this amazing series in the early 2000s when i decided to buy a copy of Final Fantasy IX back then, and it was so awesome that i had to get into the previous and then next titles was well and became an hardcore fan of it.
But today we'll talk about the VII title cause the fans got their long time wish guaranteed... We will get a remake of it at last! Not a new prequel/sequel or side-story but a remake.... YAY!!!

Final Fantasy VII follows Cloud Strife, a mercenary who initially joins the eco-terrorist rebel organization AVALANCHE to stop the world-controlling megacorporation Shinra from draining the life of the planet for use as an energy source. As the story progresses, Cloud and his allies become involved in a larger world-threatening conflict, facing off against Sephiroth, the game's main antagonist.

Released in 1997, the original game was the first in the series to use 3D computer graphics, featuring fully rendered characters on pre-rendered backgrounds and was originally intended for release on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, but was moved to the Nintendo 64. However, since the Nintendo 64's cartridges lacked the required storage capacity, Square decided to release the game for the CD-ROM based PlayStation instead, and was such a critical and commercial success that was released as well for the Microsoft Windows-based personal computers in 1998.

With the announcement and development of the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII, speculation spread that an enhanced remake of the original Final Fantasy VII would be released for the PlayStation 3. This speculation was sparked at the 2005 E3 convention by the release of a video featuring the opening sequence of Final Fantasy VII recreated using the PlayStation 3's graphical capabilities.

A high definition remake was confirmed at E3 2015 as a timed exclusive for the PlayStation 4 with the potential to be released on other platforms in the future as well.
