Juggling some angry Russians, the British MI5, his impossibly leggy wife,Johanna (Gwyneth Paltrow) and an international terrorist, debonair art dealer and part time rogue Charlie Mortdecai (Johnny Depp) must traverse the globe armed only with his good looks and special charm in a race to recover a stolen painting rumored to contain the code to a lost bank account filled with Nazi gold.


Adapted from the book anthology The Mortdecai Trilogy written by Kyril Bonfiglioli, Mortdecai's an upcoming American action comedy film directed by David Koepp and penned by Eric Aronson,

Ewan McGregor, Paul Bettany, Olivia Munn and Aubrey Plaza are some of the actors that signed in to play their parts alongside Johnny Depp and Gwyneth Paltrow.


The film is scheduled to be released on January 23, 2015 by Lionsgate, and was announced as well that a franchise of the film is on the table.
