Tom Hanks returns with Inferno, the sequel to The Da Vinci Code

The third film about Robert Langdon , the symbology teacher at Harvard will count once more with an international cast which highlights Felicity Jones , the actress of The Theory of Everything (2014).

Columbia Pictures Studios announced the main cast of Inferno, that after The Da Vinci Code (2006) and Angels and Demons (2009) , will be the third adaptation of Dan Brown novels centered on the lead character, Robert Langdon.

In Inferno, Langdon wakes up in a hospital in Italy with amnesia and tries to prevent a madman to launch a global plague that shares connection with the legendary and mysterious book of Dante.

As expected, Tom Hanks takes the lead role as professor of symbology from Harvard and will have at his side Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything) , Irrfan Khan (The Life of Pi) , Omar Sy (The Intouchables) and Sidse Babett Knudsen (the prestigious Danish Tv series, Borgen). Discussions with other important international actors to prominent characters are still on motion.

The Da Vinci Code (2006) has grossed 758.2 million dollars worldwide, but the sequel had a much more modest reception, with 485.9 million.

The rolling begins in late April again with Ron Howard as director. Film debut will happen in October 14, 2016 .
